Meydan refers to an open area intended for broad public or cultural recreation. In Baku, places called “Meydan” are mainly known as parks, boulevards, and other cultural recreation centers. In these places, people get fresh air, go for walks, and spend time with family and friends. Meydan is also used as a large open space for organizing various events and concerts. Some Meydan locations have children’s play areas, cafes, or green spaces. As an active part of public life, Meydan provides a comfortable environment for relaxation and entertainment.
