Muxas Fortress is an ancient defensive structure located in the Sheki region. This fortress was built in a natural mountainous area and served as a shelter for the population during the Middle Ages. The fortress walls were constructed from thick stone to provide protection against enemies. Although some parts of the fortress have been destroyed, it remains a site of historical and archaeological interest. Muxas Fortress maintains its place among Azerbaijan’s defensive structures and attracts the attention of tourists.
