Nizami Park is a municipal cultural and recreational facility located in the Khatai district of Baku. It is part of the city’s green space management system.
History
Founded in 1882–1883 as a garden at Villa Petrolea, a settlement for employees of the Nobel Brothers’ oil company.
Since the 1920s, the park’s name changed several times — it was once called “Lunacharsky Park” and “Rote Fahne.” Eventually, it was renamed in honor of the poet Nizami Ganjavi.Team
The park is managed by Baku’s Municipal Greenery Service. The staff includes gardeners, lab technicians, and maintenance personnel.
