Mud Volcano

Mud volcanoes are formed as a result of the eruption of mud, gas, and water to the surface from deep layers of the earth. Mud volcanoes are widespread in the Absheron and Gobustan regions of Azerbaijan. These volcanoes are interesting sites for scientific research and tourism.
