Piresherif Fortress is a historical defensive structure located in the Lerik district of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The fortress was built in the Middle Ages, and its main purpose was to defend the area. Erected in a harsh mountainous region, the fortress once protected the local population from enemy attacks. The walls of the fortress were constructed from stone, and a portion of them has been preserved to this day. Piresherif Fortress is considered an important monument in terms of both history and architecture. This ancient structure attracts the interest of tourists who visit the region.
