Galagayin is an ancient Azerbaijani silk head covering and a traditional example of craftsmanship. It is made from silk and cotton and features various patterns. Galagayin is mainly intended for women as an ornament and for everyday use. The large village is located in the Shirvan region of Azerbaijan and is famous for the production of galagayin. Here, masters make this product by hand and sell it both in local and foreign markets. Galagayin is a symbol of both local culture and ancient craftsmanship.
