Qara Qarayev metro station is an important transport hub located on Line 1 of the Baku Metro, serving the Nizami district of the city. Opened in 1972, the station was originally known as "Avrora" and was later renamed in honor of the prominent composer Gara Garayev. The station is located on Gara Garayev Avenue, one of the city's main transport arteries, and experiences a high passenger flow.
