Karabakh is a well-known football club in Azerbaijan. The club was founded in 1951 in the city of Aghdam and took its name from there. Karabakh Football Club mainly competes in the Premier League and has been the national champion several times. The club also plays successfully in both domestic and international tournaments. The team’s training and home games are currently held in Baku, as Aghdam was under occupation for many years.
