Qarayazi State Nature Reserve (9658 ha) is located in the west of Azerbaijan, on the border with Georgia, and covers an area of 9,658 hectares. This nature reserve was established in 1978 to protect rare forest and animal species. The area is mainly covered with oak, ash, elm, and acacia trees. Deer, roe deer, wild boar, and many bird species live in the reserve. The distinctiveness of nature and the protection of animals in their natural habitat are ensured here. Qarayazi State Nature Reserve (9658 ha) operates within the system of nature reserves of Azerbaijan.
