Gakh State Nature Reserve (36,836 ha) is a protected area established in 1987 and covers an area of 36,836 hectares. Its purpose is the protection of rare plant and animal species. It is managed as a temporary reserve, and activities such as hunting and tree cutting are prohibited. The area mainly consists of forest zones, mountain rivers, and various animal species. No economic activity is carried out in the reserve without special permission. It is located in the Gakh district and is not open to tourists.
