Gas Directorate

The Gas Directorate is a state or local institution, organizing the provision of natural gas to the population and institutions. In Azerbaijan, this work is mainly done by the Azergas Production Union of SOCAR and manages the gas network. The Gas Directorate registers subscribers, installs meters, measures consumption, and calculates payments. It also lays gas lines, operates pump stations, and maintains the pressure of the gas within a safe limit. In cases of gas leakage, accidents, and repair work, this institution provides prompt service while overseeing safety regulations.
