Gas Directorate

The Gas Directorate is a government institution that oversees the consumption, distribution, and safe use of natural gas. In Azerbaijan, this task is mainly carried out by the "Azerigaz" Production Union, which manages the gas network. The Gas Directorate is responsible for inspecting subscribers' meters, laying pipes and organizing technical service work. It also prevents gas leaks in case of an accident, and its duties include turning off and restoring supply. The institution also applies rules and tariffs for gas provision for residents and enterprises.
