The Gas Supply Directorate is a local institution regulating the provision of natural gas to residential and industrial facilities. In Azerbaijan, these activities are mainly carried out through the "Azerigas" Production Union, which is part of the SOCAR structure. Local gas supply directorates are responsible for the operation, technical inspection, and safety of gas networks. They receive customer requests related to gas, check meter readings, and eliminate malfunctions. The Gas Supply Directorate also prepares technical conditions for connecting new buildings to the network and coordinates connection operations.
