Gabala Radar Station is a large radar complex built during the Soviet era. This station was used to track missile launches and monitor objects in space. It was put into operation in 1985 and was one of the USSR’s most important early warning centers. The station was located near the city of Gabala and primarily served Russia. Since 2012, it has ceased operations and is currently not in use.
