A cemetery is a place where people are buried after they pass away. Cemetery is not merely a service company, but a publicly and municipally managed area. In Azerbaijan, cemeteries are located in cities and villages, and they are mainly owned by the state. Cemeteries have gravesites, paths, and sometimes small mosques. They are kept open for visits and are managed according to regulations. The land of the cemetery does not belong to any company; it is owned by local executive authorities.
