Cemetery is a designated area where people are buried. Burial plots are allocated here for the deceased, and their memories are preserved. A cemetery can be an organization or institution belonging to the public service sector. Its main responsibilities are the management, cleaning, and maintenance of the cemetery grounds. In addition, ceremonial services may be provided here and facilities are created for visitors. In Azerbaijan, cemeteries are managed by state or municipal authorities.
