A cemetery is an area where deceased people are buried. A cemetery can be public or private, and people visit the graves of their relatives there. Most cemeteries have tombstones and pathways; they are well-maintained and quiet places. In Azerbaijan, there are state and municipal cemeteries. Sometimes special staff work there for cleaning and security. Religious and ceremonial facilities can also sometimes be found around the cemetery.
