Shahdag National Park (130,508.1 ha) is a large protected natural area covering 130,508.1 hectares. This national park was established in 2006 and is located in the northeast of Azerbaijan, encompassing the districts of Qusar, Quba, Ismayilli, and Gabala. Rare species of plants and animals, including the Caucasian red deer and the bezoar goat, live here. The main purpose of the park is the conservation of nature and the development of ecotourism. Shahdag National Park is known for its forests, rivers, mountains, and unpolluted natural environment. Scientific research and ecological education are also carried out here.
