Salbir Fortress (Middle Ages) is a defensive structure built in the medieval period. This fortress is located in the Nakhchivan region of Azerbaijan, near the Araz River. Salbir Fortress (Middle Ages) was situated in a strategically important position and was used for the protection of the surrounding areas. The walls of the fortress are built of stone and there are several watchtowers. Although there is little information about Salbir Fortress (Middle Ages) in historical documents, it is well known among the local population. Today, this fortress is considered an interesting site for tourism.
