Shamkir Hydroelectric Power Station (380 MW) is a large hydroelectric power station located in the western part of Azerbaijan. The station has a capacity of 380 megawatts and plays an important role in supplying the country’s energy. Here, electricity is generated by utilizing the power of water. The station is mainly built on the Shamkir River and has been operational since 1982. The electricity produced here is supplied both to the Shamkir region and other parts of the country. This station is one of the main sources of electricity in Azerbaijan.
