Sirt Fortress is a historical defensive structure located in the northern region of Azerbaijan. The fortress was built in a mountainous area, on a site with a strategic elevation. Throughout history, this fortress has been used to protect the safety of nearby villages and roads. Sirt Fortress was mainly constructed from stone materials and has several watchtowers. Although some parts of the fortress are now in ruins, it remains an interesting destination for tourism.
