Shorgol is a small naturally salty lake found in the territory of Azerbaijan. Shorgol usually forms in saline soils or wet marshy areas. The water of these lakes is not suitable for drinking by humans or animals. Shorgol also serves as a unique habitat for certain plants and animals in the surrounding area. Shorgols can be found in many regions of Azerbaijan. They are mainly used for salt production and some agricultural needs.
