A Reservoir is a large-capacity structure built to collect and store water. In Azerbaijan, reservoirs are mainly used for drinking water, agriculture, and energy production. Such hydrological monuments play an important role in the regulation of water reserves. Reservoirs are also necessary to prevent floods and improve water supply during periods of drought. One of the largest reservoirs in Azerbaijan is the Mingachevir Reservoir. These facilities have great significance for the social and economic life of the country.
