Water Reservoir is an artificial pool constructed for storing and collecting water. The Water Reservoirs included in the list of hydrological monuments are mainly used for agriculture and irrigation. Such reservoirs play a significant role in the conservation of water resources in Azerbaijan. They are also used for fishing and, in some cases, for tourism purposes. Water Reservoirs are built on natural rivers or in enclosed areas, making water management easier.
