A Water Tower is a special structure built for the storage and distribution of water. These structures create pressure by collecting water at a high elevation and then supplying it for use. In Azerbaijan, some water towers have been registered as Hydrological monuments and hold historical significance. They have mainly been used to supply drinking water in villages and cities. Some ancient water towers are also interesting examples from an architectural standpoint.
