Tekyeh is a mosque-type building constructed for religious or social purposes. It brings people together in both villages and cities. Religious rituals and ceremonies are mainly held here. In some villages of Azerbaijan, ancient tekyehs still exist. These places are also used for charity and community support. Tekyehs with historical and cultural significance are preserved.
