Telephone Exchange Stations are places located in public areas that provide the public with the opportunity to make phone calls. These stations are usually organized in special booths, that is, telephone kiosks. During the Soviet era, such stations were widespread in cities, villages, and stations throughout Azerbaijan. Nowadays, mobile phones have become common, and the number of Telephone Exchange Stations has decreased. Mainly, these stations can only be found in certain well-known locations or in large cities. Telephone Exchange Stations still provide communication services to the population in some regions.
