Tandir Bread is a traditional type of bread in Azerbaijan and gets its name from being baked in a special tandir oven. This bread is made from a simple mixture of flour, water, salt, and yeast, and shaped into a flat form. Breads baked in the tandir oven have crispy edges, a soft interior, and a fragrant aroma. In large cities and regions, many pastry and bread shops produce and sell Tandir Bread. Tandir Bread is mostly used for breakfast, with hot dishes, and at tea tables. When stored properly, it can remain fresh for a long time.
