Tovuz Reservoir is one of the major reservoirs located in Azerbaijan. This reservoir was built on the Tovuzchay River, and its main purposes are irrigation and drinking water supply. The reservoir is considered an important water source for agriculture and increases the water reserves of the surrounding areas. Additionally, it is regarded as a small hydrological monument for the region and plays a beneficial role for the local population.
