  • Tusi Bohm Planetarium — the first modern planetarium in Azerbaijan

    Named after the prominent scientists Nasreddin Tusi and David Bohm.
    It is the only public planetarium in Azerbaijan, equipped with modern 4K projectors and a digital dome with a diameter of 10 meters, accommodating up to 58 viewers.

    Visitors can virtually travel across the sky, observe cosmic phenomena within minutes, and watch science films, shows, cartoons, and documentaries in Azerbaijani and other languages.

    History:
    Officially inaugurated on July 20, 2010, with the participation of President Ilham Aliyev.
    The planetarium, designed for 60 seats, was presented as part of the opening ceremony.

    Popularization of Science
    Participation in projects that promote knowledge of space, astronomy, and ecology
    The planetarium serves as a venue for Azerbaijan Astronomical Association to host various events, including international astronomy weeks
    In cooperation with universities and museums, exhibitions, science presentations, and film screenings about the universe, sustainability, and ecology are organized

    Accessibility and Inclusion
    The planetarium at Park Bulvar is equipped with an elevator and accessible facilities for people with reduced mobility
    This allows children and adults with disabilities to attend the events

    Environmental Education
    In 2024, in cooperation with Azercosmos, the planetarium launched the screening of the educational film "Preserving Our Precious Planet"
    The film is aimed at fostering awareness among children and teens about the importance of environmental protection and sustainable development
