Ulukhan Fortress is an ancient defensive structure located in the Sharur district. This fortress was built in the Middle Ages for the purposes of surveillance and defense of the surrounding area. The location of the fortress holds strategic significance and provides a view over the surrounding plains. Mainly stone and earth materials were used in its construction. The fortress is currently preserved as a historical monument and attracts the attention of tourists. Restoration works have been carried out at various times, and numerous researchers have studied it to this day.
