Children's Theatre is a state theatre that stages performances prepared for children. This theatre was established in Baku in 1927 and is considered the first children's theatre in Azerbaijan. Here, a variety of fairy tales, classical, and contemporary works are staged with the aim of broadening children's horizons and developing their creativity. The actors of the theatre mainly consist of professional artists. The performances usually cover Azerbaijani and world fairy tales, as well as works by young writers. Children's Theatre also organizes educational performances and events.
