Khojaly Monument was erected in 1992 to immortalize the memory of those who perished in the Khojaly tragedy. This monument is located in Baku, in the Khatai district, and is surrounded by a large park. The main part of the monument consists of a statue depicting a mother and child. Every year, thousands of people come here to commemorate the victims of the Khojaly genocide. In the field of monuments and statues, Khojaly Monument is considered an important memorial for Azerbaijan.
