Zagatala Fortress is a historical defensive structure located in the north-west of Azerbaijan. The fortress was built for military purposes by Tsarist Russia in the early 19th century. Primarily, military units were stationed here, and the fortress was used to protect the city. Today, the fortress serves as a tourist destination and is preserved as a historical monument. The walls and towers of the fortress have remained almost intact to this day. Visitors can get acquainted with ancient defensive architecture here.
