Tandir Bread is a traditional Azerbaijani bread baked in a special tandir oven. This bread is distinguished by its crispy crust and soft interior. Confectioneries and bread companies mainly prepare this bread using local wheat flour. Tandir Bread does not become stale quickly and remains fresh for a long time. It is kneaded with little oil and salt, and is very popular for breakfast and as an accompaniment to main dishes. In Azerbaijan, many bakeries produce Tandir Bread daily.
