Yeni Müsavat Media Group does not have a formally declared Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program in the usual sense — meaning clear strategies, budgets, and annual reporting on the topic. Nevertheless, they participate in public initiatives within their media platform framework:
1. Coverage and Support of Social and Environmental Initiatives
Musavat.com has covered major events such as the 2nd Baku Conference on Ecology, Social and Corporate Responsibility (ESG), where specialized companies acted as partners. The newspaper reported on the role of media and business in promoting sustainable development and social responsibility.
2. Organizing Information Campaigns and Forums
Musavat actively participates in public discourse — publishing articles, analytical materials, and hosting forums dedicated to social integration, rights, and ecology. Although indirect, this helps raise public awareness of CSR topics.
3. Platform for Public Initiatives
Thanks to a large audience (newspaper, website, TV, social media), Yeni Müsavat serves as a platform for announcements and coverage of government programs, social projects, grants, and legislative initiatives. For example, publications about events supporting vulnerable groups and environmental issues receive wide media exposure.

In 2019, the Azerbaijani Press Council celebrated the 30th anniversary of the newspaper, calling it an “ideological center and school of journalism.”
It is recognized as a leading daily newspaper with a clearly defined national and independent editorial stance.

1. Strengthening and Expanding the Media Platform
Support of the newspaper and online portal: revenues from the website and advertising are fully reinvested into both print and digital editions, creating synchronized operation across all platforms.
Advertising business and PR projects are sources of funding; however, the group notes that access to this market is restricted by authorities.
2. Development of Video Channels and Online Television
Investments in creating and maintaining Musavat TV (a YouTube channel with hundreds of thousands of subscribers), including strengthening technical capabilities and protection against cyberattacks (hacking incidents and recovery measures).
Effective adoption of digital platforms (YouTube, Telegram, Facebook) — the media outlet considers this a priority strategic investment.
3. Support for Print Infrastructure
Monthly expenses on paper, printing, and logistics amount to approximately 17,000 AZN (about $10,000), significantly exceeding the budget of the media fund.
The idea of establishing their own printing house is under consideration to reduce costs and transition to color printing, but sufficient resources are not yet available.
4. International Grants and Humanitarian Aid
In the past, projects were supported by the Soros Foundation, for example, a consortium with other media outlets to purchase about 1,000 tons of newsprint.
However, such grants were one-time; mostly, investments rely on own revenues and advertising.
5. Adaptation to Challenges and a Restricted Market
Restrictions on access to advertising imposed by authorities — “own investments” are used to compensate for the lack of commercial income.
Reinvestment of site revenue and advertising sales is the main way to sustain the group’s operations.
